Kellie Pickler and Amy Grant were pretty in pink on Tuesday (Sept. 30).
The two attended Nashville’s ‘Eat. Drink. Party Pink,’ event, which hits close to home for Pickler.
The ‘Red High Heels,’ singer spoke about her friend Summer Miller’s battle with cancer. Pickler shaved her own head to honor her “sister,” back in 2012. Pickler will release a pink vinyl copy of her latest, ‘The Woman I Am,’ album with proceeds going to Gilda’s House, a home for those dealing with cancer.
Amy Grant also hit stage, speaking about Athena bottled water which was founded by a breast cancer survivor and contintues to be a fundraiser for American Cancer Society. Earlier in the day she debuted her song, ‘Welcome Yourself,’ on the ‘Today Show.’ All proceeds of the digital song help to fight cancer.
Both women remained strong through their speeches, giving inspiration to the crowd and speaking with great optimism for a cure and the importance of early detention.
